The MHIMA Nominating Committee is currently accepting nominations for open seats on the MHIMA Board of Directors. We seek candidates that are looking to give back. Any MHIMA member in good standing may be nominated or you may nominate yourself. Our goal is a diverse Board to represent our membership.
The MHIMA Board of Directors has strategic, planning, and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization. The member-elected board begins serving July 1, 2021 with varying term lengths depending on the role. The Board of Directors meets a minimum of 6 times per year with most meetings via Web Ex but at least 2 in person sessions, normally held
in the Lansing area. These are volunteer opportunities and no compensation is provided but approved expenses such as mileage is reimbursable.
Nominations will be accepted until Wednesday, January 20, 2021. The MHIMA Nominating Committee will evaluate the nominations and make recommendations of the ballot to the Board of Directors. The election will be held in late February 2021. Newly elected Board members are encouraged to attend the May Annual Meeting to be introduced and inducted into office and welcomed by the members.
