The MHIMA Nominating Committee is currently accepting nominations for open seats on the MHIMA Board of Directors. We seek candidates that are looking to give back. Any MHIMA member in good standing may be nominated or you may nominate yourself. Our goal is a diverse Board to represent our membership.
The MHIMA Board of Directors has responsibility for the overall strategy and fiduciary oversight of the organization and associated operations. The member-elected board begins serving July 1, 2020 with varying term lengths depending on the role. The Board of Directors meets a minimum of 6 times per year with most meetings via Web Ex but at least 2 in person sessions normally held in the Lansing area. These are volunteer roles: as such, no compensation is provided outside of reimbursement of appropriate expenses, such as mileage.
Nominations will be accepted until Monday, September 30, 2019. The MHIMA Nominating Committee will evaluate the nominations and make recommendations of the ballot to the Board of Directors. The election will be held in February 2020. Newly elected Board members are encouraged to attend the May Annual Meeting to be introduced and inducted into office and welcomed by the members.
If you are a qualified active member or if you know someone that you would like to nominate please visit our online volunteer web page to review position descriptions and complete an online submission form.
If you would like additional information please do not hesitate to contact the MHIMA Nominating Committee Chairperson, Maegan Perrin via our website contact us page.
