Happy Winter in the Mitt,
Over the past six months, the MHIMA Foundation Committee has been working on delivering creative ideas to help raise funds for the MHIMA Foundation which supports our MHIMA students. As many of you are aware, our biggest source of funding comes from the Silent Auction, which is held during the three-day MHIMA Annual meeting. Unfortunately, this crazy COVID pandemic threw us a monkey wrench and we were not able to hold our annual meeting in 2020, resulting in missing out on all the fun of the Silent Auction.
The committee has come up with a great idea! We will be publishing the first ever MHIMA Cookbook (title and design to be determined)! Yep, you read that correctly…an MHIMA Cookbook! Do you like to cook and/or bake? Do you have a favorite recipe? Then we need you! We are looking for a minimum of 100 recipes. If you have a favorite recipe (or even a few) start looking for them! More information will be forthcoming on how to submit your recipes during the week of February 21st.
Please feel free to reach out to Rochelle Cooper, RHIA, CCS, FAHIMA at firstname.lastname@example.org should you have questions. The MHIMA Foundation Committee hopes to hear from many of you. Stay safe, warm and enjoy Michigan’s beautiful, but cold winter!
