Volunteer Opportunities

The MHIMA Board is asking you to seriously consider becoming more active in the leadership ranks of MHIMA. In order for MHIMA to continue its growth and activities, please consider submitting your name as a possible nominee for election or participation on a project or committee.

MHIMA Elected Leader

The Michigan HIMA Nominating committee solicits candidates for the MHIMA ballot for the offices of

  • President-Elect
  • Director
  • Delegate
  • Financial Officer
  • Nominating Committee

If you, or someone you know, are interested in running for one of these positions, please review the brief description of the duties and guidelines for each MHIMA Officer and complete the Call for Board Nominating Online Submission Form.

MHIMA Committee Chair

As a committee chair, you will lead an important committee in the association. Committee chairs serve a year-long term and guide committee members in achieving desired goals for the committee.

MHIMA Committee Member

As a committee member, you’ll play an important role in helping the association achieve its desired goals for the committee for the year.  Membership on a committee is a year-long commitment.  Some committees have a few face-to-face meetings, while others communicate via conference call and email.
