MHIMA Award and Scholarship Nominations
Hello MHIMA Members,
We are excited to announce that MHIMA Awards and Scholarships are now open!
Every day across Michigan, health information professionals are making a difference—leading teams, mentoring others, advancing the profession, and supporting the next generation of HIM leaders. Our awards and scholarships are a great opportunity to recognize those incredible contributions and invest in the future of our profession.
We encourage you to take a few minutes to nominate a colleague, apply for an award, or share these opportunities with students and peers. Chances are, you know someone doing amazing work who deserves to be recognized!
Opportunities available:
For Members
Distinguished Member Award – Recognizes an MHIMA member who has made significant contributions to the HIM profession and the association.
Mentor Award – Honors an individual who has gone above and beyond in guiding and supporting others in their HIM careers.
Exam Reimbursement Award – Supports members pursuing HIM credentials by reimbursing certification exam costs.
For Students
Scholarship Award – Financial support for students pursuing a career in Health Information Management.
Student Achievement Award – Recognizes outstanding academic performance and commitment to the HIM profession.
